In a shooting in Bridgeport on Sunday morning, a man was shot in the head and killed, while a woman was injured.
The victims were outside in the 1300 block of South Throop Street when they were hit by gunfire, according to police.
The 30-year-old man was shot in the head. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead there.
A 31-year-old woman was shot in the left arm. She drove herself to the University of Illinois Medical Center, where she is listed in stable condition.
Area Three Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
