A 49-year-old Connecticut man was shot and killed during a road-rage incident on Interstate 691 in Meriden, according to state police.
Scott Kracke was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred Sunday evening around 8 p.m. when state police with Troop I responded to calls for an active disturbance on the highway near Exit 2A. Upon arrival, responding officers learned that a shooting had occurred in a road-rage incident.
I-691east was closed for several hours Sunday evening while police investigated but has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
