A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s Back of the Yards on Saturday night.

According to police, the victim was standing on the sidewalk in the 800 block of West 51st Street around 11:18 a.m. when shots were fired from a black sedan.

The victim was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center after being transported there with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The shooter escaped. Area One detectives are looking into it.
