Man was charged with aggravated battery after allegedly assaulting a CTA employee

A man was charged with aggravated battery after allegedly assaulting a CTA employee on the Near West Side on Sunday morning.

Damion Fisher, 44, is accused of assaulting a 41-year-old CTA employee who was riding a Green Line train near the California station, 2800 W. Lake St., around 8 a.m., according to police.

Fisher was arrested in the same block minutes later and charged with aggravated battery on a transit employee.

There was no additional information available at the time.
