A 23-year-old Florida man was arrested for the alleged 2023 murder of his grandfather who was found dead in his driveway.
On December 28, 2023, deputies responded to a shooting at 8432 Matecumbe Road in Port Charlotte, Florida. A man was found dead in front of the home with a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as 71-year-old James S. Khoury.
Evidence at the scene helped investigators determine that the weapon used to kill Khoury was a rifle. Khoury’s grandson, 23-year-old Joshua Nareau, became a person of interest in the investigation.
Nareau was arrested and faces one count of second-degree murder. Nareau is currently in the Charlotte County Jail.
