Kentucky man was arrested after deputies say he put meth in his girlfriend’s coffee.

Deputies with the Knox Co. Sheriff’s Office arrested Shawn Abner, 38, after a woman told them that she had been assaulted.

Police received the report on Feb. 16.

According to deputies, she told them that Asher, her boyfriend, told her she was “about to find what he had done.”

The woman told police that Asher had made threats to cause harm to her body and that she was afraid of him because he is much bigger than she is.

The victim stated that Asher tends to get violent and had done so on multiple occasions in the past.

On Dec. 26, 2025, the woman went to a hospital to have lab work done. Results from the lab came back showing that meth had been in the coffee she was drinking.
