SUMTER, SC (Sept. 19, 2022) – Officers are working to locate an armed and dangerous suspect involved in at least three shots-fired incidents since last week.
Jamal Prince, 19, of Robney Drive, faces pointing and presenting a firearm and other charges.
Multiple shots were fired during the incidents, which appear related to a past relationship. Damage to vehicles and a residence were reported. No injuries were reported.
The first incident happened Sept. 13 where a parked vehicle was shot multiple times on Calhoun Street.
On Sunday, shots were fired into a home on Robney Drive and, less than a half-hour later, shots were fired at an apartment complex off of Calhoun Street. Prince ran off from both scenes.
Anyone who knows where Prince can be found is asked to call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700. Always dial 911 in emergency.
