Deputies in South Carolina responded to a person found shot to death in a car on River Bend Drive just outside of Timmonsville Tuesday night, according to Florence County Sheriff T.J. Joye.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Malik Daveon Zimmerman, according to coroner Keith von Lutcken. He died as the result of a single gunshot wound, von Lutcken said.
Von Lutcken added Zimmerman was discovered by a passerby who saw him sitting in his vehicle.
Joye said investigators are working to learn more information regarding the incident.
