RawNews1st – A man shot and killed in the face last Tuesday was identified as Jason Benitez, an Army veteran attacked while walking his dog in Little Village.
It was about 1:15 a.m. on Nov. 29 when authorities found a man with a gunshot wound to the face in the 3400 block of West 30th Street. The man was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as BenÃtez, who would have been serving in the Army, stationed in South Korea, for the past four years.
Although the authorities reported that BenÃtez presented a facial wound, other bullet holes were seen at the scene in nearby businesses and homes.
