DA: Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Abusing Girl Since Age 5
The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office says Michael Lynn Almanza, 44, has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after investigators uncovered nearly a decade of abuse against a girl who is now 13 years old. A second victim later came forward with similar allegations from years earlier.
According to the DA’s office Almanza targeted the children when their mother was not home. Prosecutors also presented evidence that Almanza tattooed one of the victims on his breast.
According to the DA’s office, the 50-year sentence covers both offenses.
