Florida – 28 year old Javontee Brice fatally shot his mom, his cousin, and his ex-girlfriend’s new partner in Manatee County before attempting to flee Florida.

The spree began just before 9 p.m. last night when Brice went to an apartment in Palmetto where his ex-girlfriend and sister were staying. After being denied a shower, he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend but was talked out of it by his sister.

Around 9:15 p.m., Brice went to a Motel 6 in East Bradenton where his mom, Titimysha Scott, his two younger sisters, and his mom’s boyfriend were staying. He told his mother, “I’m sorry.” When she asked, “What did you do?” he shot her three times in front of them.

At 9:45 p.m., Brice returned to Palmetto and shot his cousin, 29 year old Sacouya Starquez Jonquila Brice, as she was leaving a cookout. She was rushed to a hospital but died an hour later.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Brice went to another ex-girlfriend’s home in Bradenton where he fatally shot her new partner, 31-year-old Charel Carter, after a fight.

Late Monday into early Tuesday, Brice made social media posts admitting to his crimes and threatened to kill another ex-girlfriend in Georgia.

Around 1 a.m. this morning (Tuesday), Hamilton County deputies spotted his car on I-75. Brice got out and shot at deputies, who fired back and killed him. Another woman in his car was unharmed.

The triple homicide remains under investigation. Brice had a history of domestic violence. His sister later told investigators he was acting very strange that night.
