A man was shot and killed in Antioch during a Facebook Marketplace exchange, and police have identified the suspect at large.
Alexander E. Sanchez-Montilla, 41, was shot in both legs Thursday evening at home on Winton Drive and airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he died Friday morning.
Metro Police say Sanchez-Montilla was meeting with someone to purchase a car listed on Facebook Marketplace.
A friend of Sanchez-Montilla, who went to the exchange, reported hearing gunshots from inside the garage, and Sanchez-Montilla reportedly ran outside after.
Police add that Sanchez-Montilla “was the target of gunfire.”
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward of up to $5,000.
Authorities say Gonzalez had an alibi and has been cleared of suspicion as the suspect who shot Sanchez-Montilla in the legs.
