The affidavit for Laquain Stewart says in September, a 19 year old woman told police, she was at a friend’s apartment and Stewart was there and she’d known him about a month.
It says all three were smoking and drinking and then, Stewart made advances toward her that she rejected.
It says she ended up in the bathroom and doesn’t recall how, but, remembers Stewart on top of her strangling her until she blacked out and when she came to, he told her to be quiet or he would do it again and she recalls him trying to rape her.
It says the friend came in at that point and the victim told what happened.
It says the friend told police the victim’s lips were blue and she was crying and her face was puffy.
The victim called a friend to come get her and when he saw the victim’s swollen face and heard what happened, he confronted Stewart and hit him in the head.
It says the sexual assault exam noted the victim had several injuries consistent with being assaulted and strangled.
It says when police contacted Stewart, he called the incident, “drunk bull$*!!” and said he was the one who was a victim of attempted murder from when the victim’s friend hit Stewart.
Records show Stewart has numerous convictions in Tulsa and Oklahoma Counties for armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, assaulting a police officer, domestic assault, placing bodily fluids on a government employee and numerous protective order violations.
