A Sperry man is charged with endangering others, while running from police.
The affidavit for James Hallford says it happened February 8th, when an OHP trooper clocked Hallford doing 93 mph in a 45 mph zone in a black Charger.
It says he took off rather than be pulled over and raced past Sperry HS going nearly 90 and almost hit someone who was walking.
They say he ran inside his house and barricaded himself inside.
Records show Hallford has had 7 speeding tickets and 5 tickets for driving with a suspended license, in 3 counties (Tulsa, Rogers and Wagoner):
July 1996-26-30 mph over the speed limit
May 1997: 26-30 mph over
February 2004: 15-20 mph over
March, 2004: speeding
September 2007: 98 in a 75
March 2010: 16-20 mph over.
He has been to prison for convictions for eluding, bogus checks, stolen vehicle, stolen property, forgery, burglary, arson and having a gun as a felon.
His current charge is not a conviction.
