A Tulsa man is charged with domestic assault with great bodily injury, accused of punching his girlfriend in the face, knocking her unconscious and breaking her nose.
The affidavit for Jason Wright says on November 17th, his girlfriend told police he had been drinking heavily sand they argued and she was punched in the face.
Medical records show she had a broken nose.
Police say they found Wright’s truck in a hotel parking lot and he’d caused damage to other vehicles in the parking garage.
Records show Jason Wright was charged last month for taking his girlfriend’s car without permission and having a gun as a convicted felon.
Records show Wright was charged with DUI-manslaughter in Creek County in 2017.
Wright pled guilty in February of 2019 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
He was told if he completed a drug offender work camp, he could get his sentence modified.
In August of 2020, he was reported to be a model prisoner and the remainder of his sentence was suspended (with approval of the victims’ families).
After the DUI crash but before his guilty plea, he was charged in 2018 in Delaware County with misdemeanor driving with a suspended license and actual physical control of a vehicle (like DUI but not moving) and received a suspended sentence.
The most recent charges from last month and this month, are not convictions.
