A man is charged with assaulting his mother, two dogs and a disabled man.
The arrest report for Gordon West says on March 31st, his mother called 911, saying he appeared to be having a mental health crisis.
She told Tulsa police, West held the family dogs down and began punching them repeatedly, then, assaulted her, then, assaulted a disabled roommate, punching him in the face, leaving him with a bloody lip.
West had left before police arrived, but his mother called back later and said he had returned and locked himself into a bedroom.
It says West came out and was handcuffed without incident until he was taken the police car, then became combative, tried to head butt one of the officers and as he was being taken to the ground, he kicked one officer in the shoulder and had to be shackled for transport.
Records show he has a history of misdemeanor convictions:
Tulsa County:
2022: 2 counts of assault and battery, 70 days in jail
2015: obstruction; 5 months in jail
2014: public intoxication, $50 fine
Rogers County:
2019: forged instruments and resisting arrest, 5 months in jail
2015: public intoxication; $50 fine
Craig County:
2009: assault and battery; 5 days in jail-the rest of the 6 month sentence was suspended.
