A man has been sentenced to life in federal prison for aggravated sexual assault of two young brothers.
37 year old Roy Roberts, from Krebs was initially charged in Pittsburg County, but the case was dismissed and moved to federal court after the 2020 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on tribal jurisdiction.
A federal jury found Roberts guilty last November of sexually abusing 2 boys.
One of them was under the age of 12.
Police had said after Roberts went to prison on another case, a boy came forward and said he’d been abused and had seen video of his brother being abused also.
Records show:
September 2019: Roberts was sentenced to 5 years in prison for manslaughter in Pittsburg County. (20 years total, with 5 in prison and 15 suspended)
December 2019: Roberts was sentenced to 5 years in prison for having a gun as a felon (10 years total with in prison and 5 suspended.)
