A Tulsa County man has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for having more than two thousand images of child sexual abuse material.
81 year old Steven Phillips pleaded guilty to 2 counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and 1 count of possession of child pornography.
The sentence was 10 years, with 2 in prison and 8 suspended.
After getting a tip, investigating, doing surveillance and getting a search warrant, the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Child Predator Unit confiscated and searched Phillips’ phone, laptop, hard drives and thumb drives.
The affidavit filed at the time said Phillips admitted viewing, downloading and sharing at least 1,000 images/videos of child sexual abuse material.
It says most of the material showed toddlers to 12 years old and some were drugged while being raped, others were bound and tied while being raped and some images included bestiality.
It says Phillips told investigators he knew it was wrong and he was embarrassed and he was tired and had lived a long life and was ready to meet God.
Phillips is supposed to serve 85% of his time and register as a sex offender once released.
This is now a conviction.
