An Ada man has been sentenced to 16 and a half years for killing a 59 year old grandmother, who was just sitting on her front porch, back in 2014.
Police say Stephen Vineyard was part of a gang that had about a dozen members, who were committing all kinds of crimes around town back then.
They say Vineyard and three other men were looking for Ella Loftis’ grandson when they shot up her house and she was killed.
Federal prosecutors say she suffered numerous shotgun wounds and was left on her porch to die.
Years later, a witnesses came forward and told investigators about statements Vineyard made at the time of the murder, admitting his involvement.
I can find that at least 2 of the other men were also convicted in the case.
