The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office announced Friday that a man has been indicted by a Carroll County Grand Jury on charges in connection with the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.
The defendant, 38-year-old William Kelley, was indicted on one count of second-degree murder for allegedly causing the death of 33-year-old Christine Falzone. Kelly was also indicted on one count of second-degree murder for the death of Falzone’s unborn child.
On December 17, 2023, around 11:44 a.m., officers responded to a call for an unconscious woman not breathing at 332 Water Village Road in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Upon arrival, officers found Falzone with multiple injuries, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella.
An autopsy on Falzone revealed her cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and her manner of death was homicide, according to Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg. Investigators also say Falzone was 35-37 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
Kelly is being held without bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charges Monday morning in Carroll County Superior Court.
