RawNews1st – A man has been charged with conjoint robbery after police say he beat a woman and had the victim tazed nearly a dozen times.
The affidavit for Larontell Phillips says the victim was sitting in her vehicle in a library parking lot on Valentine’s day, when Phillips and a woman, approached the victim.
It says the woman got into the victim’s vehicle and Phillips demanded the victim’s keys, then the woman suspect started choking the victim and Phillips hit the victim, then told the woman suspect to taze the victim.
The victim says she was tazed 8 to 10 times in the head and 2-3 times in the shoulder.
It says that’s when Phillips grabbed the victim’s keys and took off.
It says the woman suspect was the victim’s late husband’s niece and Phillips was the father of the niece’s baby.
Police say the whole thing was caught on surveillance video. Records show the woman suspect was charged in March, but, the case was later dismissed when the victim did not go to court.
The conjoint robbery charge was filed against Phillips on August 16th and he was booked into jail on August 22nd.
Records show Phillips has previous convictions in Tulsa County for stolen property and Greer County for bringing contraband into a jail and possession of drugs and is on a suspended sentence.
