A federal jury in Tulsa finds a Collinsville man guilty of severely beating and strangling his pregnant niece.-The jury convicted Kenneth Walker of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
On July 14th 2021, Walker got mad at his pregnant niece when she refused to give him keys to her home because he’d been acting so erratically.-
They say Walker headbutted her, shoved her into a recliner, causing it to flip over backward and causing her to hit her head on a table.
He repeatedly kicked her in the stomach and when she turned to protect her baby, Walker kept kicking her in the legs and tried to gouge out her eyes with his thumbs and strangled her to the point, she thought she was going to die.
The only thing that stopped him, was her boyfriend came into the room, after hearing the commotion and pulled Walker off her, even though Walker still tried to drag her by the hair.
Her neck, face and back were covered with bruises and scrapes and she experienced the prolonged obstruction of blood flow to her brain, impairing her brain function; her ability to breathe was compromised due to the strangulation; and she had sustained a concussion.
Records show Walker had been convicted of assault and battery three times, domestic assault and battery three times, violation of a protective order, as well as drug and gun crimes.
