A federal jury finds a Depew man guilty of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor and 2 counts of enticement of a minor.
The investigation into Darrel Guinn began when a child told her 2 siblings, she had been sexually abused by him.
The two older siblings said Guinn had sexually propositioned them several times.
Prosecutors showed Guinn sexually abused the young child at least three times from June of 2020 to August of 2021.
The child said the abuse started when she was 10 .
She say they were watching a movie alone, and he sexually assaulted her and when he was done, he told her not to tell anyone.
The last time he sexually assaulted her, he told the victim she was his “favorite” and it was “their secret.”
The second victim said when she was 14, Guinn asked her if he could have sex with her.
Another time, also when she was 14, they were watching a movie and he began to push his pelvis against her backside.
A third victim said Guinn asked her for sex when she was 16 or 17.
She also said he once seemed to be rubbing his groin on her backside.
During the investigation, two other adults came forward, saying they were sexually assaulted by Guinn when they were children and he was a teenager.
One woman said Guinn exposed himself to her when she was 5 and he was 13 and then ostracized the victim after she tolod someone what happened.
After that, Guinn began sexually abusing another child on a regular basis when she was between 6 and 9 years old.
He was seven years older than that victim.
Victims and witnesses testified that Guinn regularly told the victims, “incest was best,” that he was “bored and horny,” or called the victims “teases.”
Prosecutors told the jury, “incest is best” and “bored and horny” were not simply immature jokes to Guinn, but rather were mottos Guinn lived by.
They came back with a guilty verdict in 3 hours.
