Tulsa Police arrest a man charged with rape, domestic assault by strangulation and threatening a violent act.
The affidavit for Luther Mayo says the woman reported the violent attack in January of this year.
Records show he had been arrested for domestic assault on her in June of 2022 as well.
The affidavit says she told police they’d broken up after the 2022 incident, but, she tried to maintain a civil relationship with him for the sake of their children.
He’d offered in January to bring over some food for the kids, but, she says he seemed high and became violent and beat, slapped, strangled and threatened to kill her, over a period of 3 hours with some of the violence happening in front of the children.
She immediately reported the assault and went to the hospital for an exam and the report lists a number of injuries.
