The man charged with murdering 5 children and his brother, intends to change his plea from not guilty, to not guilty by reason of insanity.
Jarron Pridgeon’s attorney filed the paperwork in April and it says a forensic psychiatrist believes Pridgeon was psychotic at the time of the murders.
It says they are now waiting on a report from a neuro-psychologist.
Prosecutors had said they planned to ask for the death penalty in the case.
He’s currently in prison for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threatening violent acts.
His next court date in the murder case, is set for September and we’ll keep you updated.
