Pennsylvania Man Charged With Murder Of Ex-Girlfriend’s 12-Year-Old Daughter
39-year-old Jason Shackelford is charged with one count of criminal homicide, according to online court dockets, but the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office discussed multiple sexual assaults in a statement on the case.
Police were called to the Wyndham Lancaster Hotel, 2300 Lincoln Way East, on Friday for a disturbance, and encountered a woman with Shackelford, the DA’s office said.
The woman said she was working the night shift from Feb. 8 into Feb. 9, and that Shackelford told her he kidnapped her 12-year-old daughter from their home in the 500 block of Avenue H in Columbia.
Authorities did not identify the woman or her daughter in the initial release.
As of Friday, police said additional charges may be filed pending the results of the autopsy and the ongoing investigation. He had not been arraigned.
