A man beat and sexually assaulted a woman Saturday night after breaking into her North Side home.
Chicago police said the crime occurred around 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of North Halsted Street.
A 39-year-old female victim was inside her home when a man broke in through the door, according to police.
According to police, the offender entered, battered, and sexually assaulted the woman.
Police said the man had been arrested. Charges against the suspect are pending.
