An Irmo man is being charged with manslaughter and possession of a deadly weapon during a violent crime in connection to a man being fatally stabbed.
According to officials, 40-year-old Robert Wier stabbed his brother in the chest with a butcher knife around 9:30pm on March 19.
Officials say Wier and his brother was in an argument with his brother inside the residence on the 300 Block of Wharfsdale Road in the New Friarsgate subdivision.
When officers arrived, they found a dead victim near the front door of the residence with a wound to his chest police say.
Investigators arrested Wier and he is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
