Midwest City Police say 30 year old Brandon Morrissette is the man arrested for shooting and killing a man on the Rose State College campus yesterday.
The arrest report says Morrissette’s wife and a fellow student, RJ Long, were walking out of the Humanities building yesterday around 12:15 PM, when Morrissette confronted them and shot Long.
Police say they arrived 1 minute after the initial shooting call.
They say Morrissette put the gun in his backpack, got on his knees, raised his hands and told officers, “I surrender, I surrender.”
The report says the wife was in shock and didn’t remember what, if anything her husband said before the shooting and told officers her husband was controlling and watched her constantly and thought she was having an affair with Long, but, she told officers she and Long were just classmates and friends.
Long’s family says he was a Marine who was always willing to help others.
The report says Morrissette declined to talk to officers or let them read his Miranda rights, until his attorney was present.
