Records show man accused of following young girls home from bus stop last week in Tulsa, was arrested last year for sexually assaulting a girl and his mother is serving a life sentence for murdering a toddler.
June 1, 2021: Glenpool police arrest William Parnell, who was working at the Dollar General, when a girl came into the store.
Sources say he put his hand over her mouth and carried her to a back room where he sexually assaulted her.
He was booked into the Creek County jail and the case turned over to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
I have asked the Muscogee (Creek) Nation court what happened to the case and am waiting to hear back.
May 13, 2022: Federal affidavit says Parnell admitted following a girl home from the bus stop.
The girl quickly got inside her home and he rang the doorbell, pulled on the storm door and asked to use the restroom, then left.
May 13, 2022: It says a neighbor had confronted a man matching Parnell’s description, for trying to follow their 12 year old daughter home from a bus stop and the man replied, “I am just walking here.”
Officers couldn’t find the man that day.
May 16, 2022: It says Parnell admitted breaking into a home where a 10 year old girl was inside.
It says a 10 year old girl was home alone and saw Parnell in the backyard looking at her through windows.
She ran out front door to a neighbor’s house and the neighbor saw Parnell hop the fence to leave and run away.
The affidavit says Parnell had rummaged through several rooms, stole a firearm from nightstand and dropped underwear from the daughters’ rooms in the master bedroom.
It says he told police he threw the gun into a pond.
May 17, 2022: The affidavit says Parnell checked into a hospital for taking too many pills.
May 18, 2022: It says Parnell started punching a wall and a mirror and hitting his head on the wall and nurse tried to intervene and Parnell shoved the nurse into a wall and wrapped nurse in a bear hug, then the nurse was able to get away.
It says another nurse recognized Parnell from news coverage of the the May 13th and 16th incidents and Tulsa Police arrested him, after he was medically checked out.
It says Parnell after admitting to the incidents during a police interview, he repeatedly said he wanted to die.
Jenks Police says they had 19 contacts with William Parnell from 2009-2019 including:
6 runaway calls-3 domestic violence calls
2 larceny calls-1 attempted suicide call-1 exploitation call
They can’t give details since Parnell was a juvenile at the time and is a tribal citizen.
April 7, 2008: Parnell’s mother, Ashley Parnell, was charged in Tulsa County with murdering her boyfriend’s toddler.
February 2009: a jury found Ashley Parnell guilty of murder and recommended a life sentence, which she is certainly serving in D.O.C.
