Man arrested for rape after assaulting patients at Wichita hospital
Wichita police have arrested a 28-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting three patients at a local hospital.
Sedgwick County Jail records show Miguel Rodela was booked Thursday afternoon for three counts of rape of a physically powerless victim. He was held without bond Friday morning.
Officers responded at around 2 a.m. Thursday after security at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis reported the incident, Wichita police spokesperson Juan Rebolledo said. He added that the victims are three female patients.

Rebolledo said Rodela was not an employee or a patient at the hospital.
According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Rodela is currently on Community Corrections for convictions of aggravated assault and theft in 2019.
