Man arrested, charged with murder after fatally stabbing brother at birthday gathering

Texas – Angel Nathan Gonzales, 28, was arrested and charged with murder after San Antonio police said he fatally stabbed his brother while at a birthday gathering earlier this month.

Gonzales was wanted for the October 3, 2021 murder of 30-year-old Isaac Aguilar. Witnesses told officers that Aguilar and Gonzales had got into a heated verbal argument.

Gonzales is accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing Aguilar.

Gonzales was booked in the Bexar County Jail for Murder.

Witnesses told officers that the brothers got into a heated argument at a gathering for Gonzales’s birthday.

His arrest comes after officers were called out around 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3, to the 1700 block of Leal Street to investigate a stabbing.When police arrived, they found Gonzales’s brother Isaac Aguilar, 30, suffering from several stab wounds between a patio table and outdoor swing set, according to an arrest affidavit.

Aguilar told his family to call 9-1-1. Gonzales then dropped the knife and fled the location with two friends in a silver or white SUV.

All three witnesses positively identified Gonzales and Aguilar, according to police. A murder warrant was later issued for Gonzales before his capture.

He’s currently being held in the Bexar County Jail and his bond is set at $250,000, according to court records.

The situation escalated when the men were pushing each other as family members tried to break up the argument.
