A Texas custodian was arrested after a coworker accused him of giving her a sexually transmitted disease when he urinated in her water bottle at a medical office building, according to court records obtained by KHOU 11. Since then, 11 other potential victims have come forward.
Lucio Catarino Diaz, 50, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He admitted to police that he did it with malicious intent, according to documents. He allegedly told investigators that he had a “sickness” and did not know how many times he urinated in the workers’ drinking supply.
Houston police said the disturbing occurrences happened at a doctor’s office along Houston’s East Freeway, where the victim was employed for 20 years.
According to court documents, there was a 5-gallon water dispenser at the medical practice that was used by staff and others.
The victim told police she started bringing her own water bottles to work after she noticed the liquid from the dispenser had a funny taste and smell to it on August 30.
She explained how she would leave the water bottle at work if she didn’t finish it. However, in late September she drank water from it over the next day or so and noticed the water had a bad taste and smell, according to documents.
When she noticed it kept occurring, a urinalysis was done on the water by the doctor the victim worked for, which confirmed their suspicions of it being urine.
