Man arrested after 9-month-old dies at hospital from major injuries
Stockton police were notified Tuesday by Oakland Hospital staff that a 9-month-old had arrived at the hospital with major injuries.
Staff also told police the injuries were related to child abuse.
The 9-month-old boy died from his injuries on Thursday, Stockton police said.
Leonel Mateo, 31, was arrested in connection with the child’s death.
The relationship between Mateo and the child is not known.
No other details were released.
