An El Paso woman accused of driving a car during a deadly shooting outside an oyster bar has been arrested on a murder charge, police officials said Tuesday.
Rachel Ramona Rivota, 24, of Northeast El Paso, was taken into custody on Friday by the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, police said. She is being held on a $1 million bond at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown.
Rivota allegedly was driving a car during a shooting that killed Christopher Ryan Correa, 35, early on Sept. 18 behind the 10-4 Oyster Pub at 12275 Pellicano Drive in the Americas area of the far East Side, police said.
Security camera video recorded a man, whom detectives later identified as Alexander Diaz, exit the passenger side of a car and walk up to Correa and shoot him multiple times with a rifle, police said. Rivota allegedly was the driver of the car.
Diaz, 26, of the Lower Valley, was arrested later that same day on a murder charge following an investigation by homicide detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit. Diaz remains jailed under a $1 million bond at the Downtown jail.
El Paso County Jail records list no previous arrests for Rivota.
