Man And Woman Arrested For Carrying Out A Hit On 17-Year-Old Florida Boy
A Florida man and woman have been indicted on murder charges after investigators say they carried out a hit on a 17-year-old boy in Ocala, according to reports.
On Wednesday, a grand jury indicted 23-year-old Dexavion J’Neil Brown and Leilani 19-year-old Ashantae Brown for the murder of 17-year-old Lezarius Graham in June.
Graham’s body was found near the treeline off Northwest 43rd Street in Ocala. Detectives say Graham met Leilani Brown to sell her marijuana.
Leilani Brown arrived in a stolen Toyota Corolla with Dexavion Brown hiding the trunk. When Graham got in the vehicle, Dexavion Brown folded down the back seat and shot him twice.
While being questioned by detectives, Leilani Brown said Graham’s murder was gang-related and “money was on his name.”
Detectives determined Leilani Brown had stolen the Toyota while attending a party two days before the murder. She was initially arrested in August and booked into the Marion County Jail on charges of grand theft, battery, and providing false ID to an officer.
Dexavion Brown was initially arrested in September on unrelated charges of attempted murder and armed robbery in Lake County.
