According to Houston police, James Spencer III was wanted in the death of Sean Showers.
Showers was killed in May 2023. Police said he was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a ditch.
According to ABC 13 in Houston, Spencer allegedly claimed to be a minor online in an attempt to lure Showers.
Showers was a convicted sex offender.
ABC 13 reports Showers was convicted of possessing child sex abuse material in 2009 and was cited again in 2019 for failing to register as a sex offender.
