Man accused of killing 3, including his father, this morning in the Triad: The 22-year-old suspect is in jail without bond. According to police:
» This morning, around 12:30 a.m., Kernersville police responded to the 9000 block of Stafford Country Lane, near Highway 66 and Old Salem Road, in reference to a shooting.
» Upon arrival, officers exchanged gunfire with Thomas Gillie, 22, who surrendered to police shortly thereafter.
» Officers found 2 men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both died from their injuries during the incident with the suspect.
A female victim was found shot as well. She was taken to the hospital. These victims have not been identified.
» Gillie was charged with two counts of murder and 2 counts of attempted murder. He has no bond.
» Also overnight, around 1:20 a.m., Greensboro police responded to the 5100 block of Bayberry Lane, near the Greensboro Urban Loop & Lawndale Drive. They found Douglas Gillie Jr., 62, dead from a gunshot wound.
» Police say the suspect was Douglas’ son, Thomas Gillie; the same suspect in the Kernersville shooting mentioned above.
