A man is facing charges of kidnapping and rape for allegedly kidnapping three women and assaulting them last month, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers.
Powers announced the charges Monday against Rodolfo Castillo, who faces six counts of kidnapping, three counts of aggravated robbery, one count of robbery, four counts of rape and one count of attempted rape.
If convicted of all charges, he faces a maximum possible sentence of 85 years in prison.
The first incident happened on Feb. 13 when the indictment alleges Castillo called a transportation service and asked for a female driver to come to pick up a female passenger at an apartment on West Kemper Road. When the driver arrived at the apartment, Castillo got into the car and told her to drive to the back of the apartment building. Once she did, Castillo allegedly stuck a screwdriver into her ribs, forced her into the backseat and tied her hands and feet.
Castillo then allegedly drove to her bank and took money out of her account, and then sexually assaulted her. He then allegedly took her to a gas station, where he threatened to kill her if she called the police before allowing her to leave.
The second incident took place on Feb. 14 in Woodlawn when Castillo allegedly approached a woman coming out of the Kroger store and offered her a ride. Powers did not say if the victim knew Castillo.
The woman got in the car and Castillo then allegedly took her phone before punching her several times. He then allegedly threatened to rape and kill her if she didn’t cooperate.
