RawNews1st – Agents from Homeland Security Investigations in Tulsa arrest a Broken Arrow man accused of hiding hidden cameras in a cabin and in his own home.
The 11 page affidavit says the case came to light in August when Philip Sprenger and his wife had a birthday party for their teenage daughter and she invited friends to come to Keystone Lake for a day of swimming and fun.
It says after swimming, several girls showered in the cabin and went outside and had a camp fire and then as they went inside to get ready for bed, one of them was brushing their teeth when she saw a red light.
It says it looked like a USB wall charger but when she got other girls and they took it apart, they realized it was a hidden camera.
It says they started looking and found another hidden camera inside a motion sensor, also in the bathroom, pointed at the shower.
It says they all drove to a nearby convenience store, called their parents and told Sprenger and gave him the cameras that had SD cards in them.
It says some of the girls went to the park office the next day to report it and Sprenger brought the cameras and turned them over, but, they no longer had SD cards in them.
It says he told investigators he used lighter fluid to burn the SD cards and melted them, in case there were any images on them, because they didn’t want the images out there.
It says agents served a warrant at Sprenger’s home and recovered 20 devices.
It says in the devices they’ve gone through so far, they found a 3 minute video from July 5th, 2022 that showed Sprenger’s face as he set up a camera, then showed him putting a 7 year old girl on his knee and showing her a video of a sex act and asking her for that act, even offering $20 as she repeatedly said no and tried to turn off the video.
It says a five minute video from June 5, 2022 was taken from the bathroom at Sprenger’s home, showing teenage girls taking off their clothes, getting into the shower, getting out, drying off and getting dressed.
It says they also found images of children as young as toddlers being raped.
It says the review of all the devices is expected to take weeks.
It says Sprenger denied putting the cameras in the cabin and denied he would have any images of child pornography on any of his devices.
The affidavit says he has a minister’s license, is involved in a church and takes mission trips and is also a handyman and investigators say that gives him access to multiple potential victims and makes him a danger to the community.
He was booked into jail for peeping tom, having/making child pornography and lewd proposals to a minor and destroying evidence.
