RawNews1st – Police arrest a man accused of beating his girlfriend and strangling her until she passed out.
The affidavit for Adam Rawlins says neighbors called 911 on October 1st, saying they could see Rawlins beating a woman outside and they’d heard glass breaking.
It says the victim told police, the couple was arguing when Rawlins became enraged and began breaking things in the home and breaking out the windows and beating her, even holding her by the front of the neck with one hand while beating her with the other.
It says he then got behind her and put her in a chokehold until she passed out, then he poured bleach all over her face and dragged her outside and began beating her again, which is when neighbors called 911 and Rawlins took the woman’s phone and left.
It says all this happened in front of 2 children and the woman had injuries, a torn shirt, a bite mark on her face and police recovered an empty bleach bottle.
He’s charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
