RawNews1st – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. a man in the 200 block of Bergen Street was approached by a suspect who snatched the victim’s gold chain and threw him to the ground.
The suspect then grabbed the handle of a weapon that was hidden in his waistband before entering a green, 4-door vehicle and fleeing toward 14th Avenue and Bergen Street.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as 5’8” tall and 230 pounds with a muscular build.

He has a dark-brown complexion, a mustache, and a slight beard, and was wearing glasses, green shorts, a shirt with a logo on the back and on the chest area, and white sneakers.
