A man who has served time for manslaughter in the past, is now headed to federal prison for 12 years for strangling and suffocating his girlfriend.
-Court documents say Caughron suffocated the woman with a pillow, hit her repeatedly, and strangled her until she lost consciousness, causing a life-threatening injury.

When she got a protective order against him, he violated it by sending harassing and threatening messages. and tried to mislead her to keep her from testifying.

Federal prosecutors say when he was released on bond, he was ordered not to have contact with the victim, but he violated that order.

Records show he was convicted of manslaughter in 2011 in Osage County and served 2.5 years of his 5 year sentence.
