Male charged with animal cruelty for the shooting death of three pet
RawNews1st – Richard (Richie) Russell, who is charged with animal cruelty for the shooting death of three pet dogs on January 5, 2023 in Burt, NY, turned himself over to the Niagara County Sheriff this morning.
Russell and his wife fled to North Carolina after the shootings.
Russell contacted SPCA agents recently and informed them he would be turning himself in.

Russell’s wife, Karen is also charged with the abandonment of a cat and 2 turtles in a Niagara Falls apartment on January 4, 2023.
