Daughter convicted of stabbing mum to death in Shifnal home before ‘chopping up corpse’.
A woman will be subject to an indefinite hospital order after a jury found she stabbed her mother to death at her Shifnal home.
On Sunday, June 14 2020, police attended a fire outside a house in Bridgnorth, no-one was injured in the fire, however enquiries into the fire led to concern for the welfare of retired nurse Judy Fox, 65, from Haughton Drive in Shifnal.
Her remains were found by police in the woodlands off The Lloyds in Coalport on July 10, 2020.
Today, July 28, a jury found Fox was responsible for her mother’s death and will be subject to a hospital order with a restriction.
Fox had given no pleas and was tried in her absence after the court found she was unfit to stand trial and was “not fit to participate in the trial in any meaningful way” due to her mental health.
