Logan William Calaway accused of strangling, kidnapping Matthews woman
According to Matthews Police, Calaway is accused of forcibly taking a woman against her will, causing her physical harm, and repeatedly stalking her in the days leading up to the incident.
Logan William Calaway was arrested on Wednesday, June 4, and is currently being held without bond at the Mecklenburg County Jail.

Authorities said the suspect also showed up at the victim’s work several times and waited in the parking lot for her to leave. The harassment reportedly escalated to the point of abduction.
The investigation began after a witness called 911, reporting that a man appeared to be forcing a woman into a vehicle in the 1400 block of Matthews Mint Hill Road.
Police responded and issued an Ashanti Alert to help locate the woman and the suspect.
