Lebanon plunges into darkness amid nationwide BLACKOUT
The state electricity company has blamed protesters, saying they stormed a key substation in Aramun in protest over power cuts and tampered with the equipment, Al Arabiya reported. Beirut Airport is completely without any electricity.
The country’s two largest power stations were repeatedly forced to shut down last year over fuel shortages, and the national control center being destroyed in the Beirut bomb blast.
