Leaked Video ‘The Bachelorette’ season with Taylor Frankie Paul amid alleged assault: CANCELED
Authorities contacted both parties on Feb. 24 and 25, the spokesperson told the outlet. The reality star was set to lead Season 22 of “The Bachelorette.”
ABC has pulled the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette” starring Taylor Frankie Paul amid an ongoing police investigation into the reality TV star and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortenson.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson told USA TODAY Thursday, March 19.
The cancellation came after the Draper City Police Department in Northern Utah revealed an ongoing “domestic assault investigation” involving Paul and Mortensen, who have both reportedly leveled allegations, People reported.
She recently told People in a March 17 statement that her “heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time.”
“Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal,” Paul told the outlet. “I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one … it’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today.”
Paul is the unofficial star of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” which exploded in popularity since its 2024 premiere, following several women who brand themselves “MomTok.”
Paul garnered a large audience after admitting on social media that she and another couple belonging to the church of the Latter-day Saints were “soft swinging.”
