RawNews1st – local law enforcement conducted a search warrant at 53 Turkey Canyon Road in Queen, Eddy County, NM.

Pecos Valley Drug Task Force Agents along with the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office and the Carlsbad Police Department responded to the residence in reference to criminal activity involving narcotics, criminal damage and larceny occurring in the small community.

Upon arrival to the location, contact was made with five individuals, two of which were arrested.

John R. Reed (46 yoa) was arrested for felony criminal damage to property along with Alma Munoz (33 yoa) who was arrested for probation violations.

Deputies allege that approximately five days prior, Mr. Reed went onto the property of another in Queen and broke windows to a vehicle and structure using a pick-axe.

The pair were transported to ECDC on no bond holds. Based on the search warrant execution three individuals are pending additional charges for possession of methamphetamine.

Due to this recent criminal activity occurring in Queen, the Eddy County Sheriffs Office will have a marked and unmarked presence in the area to focus on keeping the community of Queen safe according to Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage.

Residents and visitors can expect a vamped-up presence in the mountain community.
