Lancaster officers shoots 2 dogs, killing 1, when a man calls for help after being attacked.
One dog is dead and another is wounded after a confrontation with the police.
On May 21 at approximately 6:50 p.m., while Lancaster Police Department officers were in the area of the 400 Block of E Walnut Street on an unrelated call for service, they heard a male yelling for help in a nearby alleyway.
Officers then observed a man with injuries after being attacked by two canines.
According to a news release from the Lancaster Police Department, the dogs continued to be aggressive toward other citizens and the officers. After being charged, the officers shot both dogs, wounding one and killing the other.
